Had a great day. I’m so happy the photoshoot was just me and Jas. Had a heart to heart talk with her, and cleared some stuff up. Yeah, nothing better then a little bump in the road of friendship to strengthen it eh?
Chinatown is great- it’s my first official visit, in 8 years or so- the last was my photoshoot during the hols, but we wandered there at night and all shops were closed, so I didn’t have the chance to get a feel of the place- from wondering around alone while waiting for Jas when we met, felt alot of stares when I was smoking while waiting for her. Ah well. Bought batteries; was directed to that shop by a watch shop nice uncle-
“How much is it?”
“$8.”
“Got cheaper ones?” I am dirt broke. I didn’t mean to get discount, but to my pleasant surprise-
“I give you (sell) $5.”
As it turned out, he gave me $6 in change, and because I didn’t have $1, he shrugged it off. Nice indian man. Some camera shop along pagoda street.
I loitered around because there were so many nice shiny cameras on display, and I asked about some Canon models. While on my way out, one of the staff told me, “You’re like a model you know?”
Eh, made my day can!
“No la,” I replied with a slight spring in my steps.
Go chinatown can be model. HAHA.
The weather was right, Jasmine and me shooting, doing the things I love. Actually we spent more time eating than shooting. Bumped into my sister, my god, go chinatown also can run into my sister. Shows we have quite a fate huh. Poor Jas was whining about her not being able to eat all the yummy food. Man, you now know my pain of being a veg lei, mine is permanent while yours is temp. So if you feel bad about your tooth, think of me ok!
Interesting place, cheap stuff. I am so going back. Was at a damn old school street. Tambun biscuits baked from the oven!
Had dinner at Tak Po dim sum place. The wait staff is very courteous, especially our waiter. Had homemade beancurd with my diet coke from 7-11, meiji strawberry choc while Jas had fish congee. Nice wor. Hahaha.
Towned, with neeky and cam honey, home. And as I view my pictures, you know what?
Shooting pictures, viewing my work keeps me going, so do my friends.
